In the case of infants fuss or cry, acne may look worse. Many babies also have milia, which are small white bumps on the cheeks, nose, or the baby's chin.

Baby acne treatment

In recent weeks, baby acne usually disappears. However, in some cases, acne may continue for months or possibly longer. While waiting for baby acne disappear by itself, the things parents can do include:
  1. Dry the baby's face gently, just by tapping the baby's skin rather than rubbing.
  2. Always keep your baby face clean by washing it 2 or 3 times a day with warm water.
  3. Acne in babies should not be pinched or rubbed because it can cause more severe irritation or even infection.
Babies can be given medical creams or other treatments as directed in the case of acne that do not heal even after keeping the baby's skin clean. In some rare cases, if there is an underlying medical condition, it must be treated on a medical condition first.
